EO2HEAVEN workshops on IT-tools and epidemiological methods were held in Kampala, Kasese (Uganda), Pretoria and Durban (South Africa) on February 3-15, 2013.

EO2HEAVEN held an internal meeting in Dresden hosted by the Technische Universität Dresden. The meeting aimed at discussing all the outstanding aspects to be addressed during the last stage of the project.

Thomas Usländer (IOSB) was invited to give an opening keynote entitled "Maximizing the use of EO products: how to leverage the potential of open geospatial service architectures".

Kym Watson (Project coordinator) gave a presentation entitled 'Overview of the EO2HEAVEN contribution to MDG Health' in the plenary session.

The 4th GEO Health and Environment CoP Workshop was hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB) and included the participation of many project partners.

The series will look at the mysteries and impacts of the ocean - the Blue Marvel - and how research and a broad spectrum of scientists, from engineers to chemists, microbiologists to archaeologists play a role in finding the answers.

EO2HEAVEN work was presented in the 6th International Congress on Environmental Modelling and Software (iEMSs) in Leipzig, Germany.

EO2HEAVEN organized a stakeholder workshop on the 13^th of June in Dresden. This event was a German speaking workshop hosted by TUD (Technische Universität Dresden) and brought together health experts and stakeholders from Germany.

EO2HEAVEN organized a workshop on environmental modeling in Uganda on the 22^nd of May 2012 to better understand how the project’s results could be of benefit to Ugandan stakeholders

A total of 729 cases and 28 deaths were reported from six districts (situation as of 31 March, 2012)
